Why Concrete Grinding Matters

Concrete grinding is key for:

Surface Levelling

Smooths out uneven surfaces, making them ready for polishing or other treatments.

Coating Removal

Effectively removes old coatings, adhesives, and paint, ensuring a clean foundation.

Surface Preparation

Prepares the concrete for new coatings or sealers by opening up its pores, allowing proper adhesion.

Aesthetic Enhancement

Exposes aggregates for decorative finishes, adding visual appeal.

Ready to improve the safety, aesthetics, and longevity of your concrete surfaces?

Why Concrete Grinding Matters

Proper concrete grinding lays the foundation for a durable and visually appealing surface that meets both functional and aesthetic needs.

The Importance of Diamond Blades

Diamond-tipped blades offer durability and precision, crucial for a range of finishes from basic smoothing to full aggregate exposure. Choosing the right blade is essential to achieving the desired outcome for your project.

Skilled Operators Make the Difference

High-quality concrete grinding depends on experienced operators who know how to handle equipment properly. At FloorCo, our skilled team ensures every surface is ground to perfection, setting the stage for any subsequent treatments like sealing or epoxy applications.

Dust Control: Essential for Safety and Quality

Effective dust control is critical during the grinding process. At FloorCo, we use industrial vacuums to capture dust directly from the grinding machine, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Concrete Sealing

Maximising Your Investment

Why Sealing Matters

Concrete sealing goes beyond aesthetics - it's essential for protecting your investment. Sealing your concrete surfaces extends their lifespan by protecting them from moisture, wear, and environmental damage. The right sealer enhances durability while maintaining the surface's appearance.

Longevity and Durability

Concrete sealing creates a protective barrier that prevents moisture penetration, reducing the risk of cracking and spalling over time. This simple step can significantly extend the life of your surfaces, especially in high-traffic or exposed areas.

Stain Resistance and Hygiene

Sealed concrete repels stains from substances like oil, wine, and grease, making it easier to clean. The reduced porosity also limits bacterial growth, making sealed surfaces more hygienic for commercial or residential use.

UV Protection and Graffiti Resistance

Outdoor surfaces benefit from UV-resistant sealers, which prevent fading and discolouration over time. In public areas, anti-graffiti sealers make removing unwanted markings easier and less costly.

Preventing Mould and Algae Growth

In damp climates, sealed concrete prevents moisture from settling in the surface’s pores, reducing the risk of mould, algae, and other organic growth. This ensures the surface remains safe and visually appealing for years to come.
