Polished Concrete Flooring for Industrial Arts Room, Edith Cowan University – South-West Campus

Project Overview

FloorCo was honoured to partner with Edith Cowan University’s South-West Campus in Bunbury to deliver a premium flooring solution for their Industrial Arts rooms. The brief required a durable and visually striking polished concrete floor with a fully exposed aggregate finish. In addition, safety was a top priority, with a required slip rating of P3 to create a secure workspace.

Our Solution

Operating under a tight project schedule, FloorCo employed state-of-the-art three-phase polishing equipment with dust extraction to achieve the specified stone exposure. Our team meticulously carried out floor repairs to ensure a seamless surface, addressing any irregularities prior to the polishing phase.

To meet durability and aesthetic goals, the flooring was finished with two coats of Sentinel Polyaspartic High Gloss, Industrial Grade. Renowned for its exceptional strength, flexibility, and rapid curing properties, this product enabled two applications within a single day. Thanks to this innovative approach, the floor was fully service-ready the next morning, aligning perfectly with the university’s operational requirements.
